
Abstract Submissions
The Abstract submission deadline is now closed.
A limited set of presentation proposals will be accepted for inclusion in designated segments of Symposium program. Proposals will be evaluated following the submission deadline (see below) and all parties will be notified by Friday, July 19, 2013 as to whether or not presentations have been accepted.
Presentations Opportunities
Presentation proposals may be submitted to us on one or more of the following topics:
1. Innovative approaches and/or solutions to addressing natural resource liability issues in the broad context of corporate environmental strategies and goals or government mandates;
2. Creative ways to address natural resource issues in ways that are cognizant of and leverage one or more of the Symposium theme game changers (theme risk tradeoff, economic efficiency, energy development and/or biodiversity);
3. Success stories involving resolution of natural resource damage liability, including decision frameworks and other planning devices to constrain time and budget and identify end results;
4. Methodologies and trends concerning natural resource liability and restoration practices outside the United States;
5. Ways to incorporate ecosystem service valuation models and/or methods into the natural resource liability and management context;
6. Other, as appropriate within the Symposium’s overall theme.
Submission Requirements
Written proposals should include your name, entity and contact information, as well as a brief summary of the presentation, including a description of the topic and related issues, requested time allotment, and presentation/discussion format. Proposed presentations may be brief (e.g., 15-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A), or may be quite a bit longer, if appropriate to the particular topic being proposed.
